Shirley’s Home Cooking is located owned and operated by Grant and Shirley Sharpe. Shirley’s opened in 1990 with only three tables, serving mainly local diners. However, word of Shirley’s homemade family style meals spread fast and renovations throughout the years allows Shirley’s to seat around 250 customers.

Shirley’s has a lot to offer, including great food, a family atmosphere and a Country Store for browsing while you wait.

The Country Store, headed up by Barbara Matheson and Kaylyn , Grant and Shirleys granddaughter has a wide variety of quilts, candies, jams, jellies, wooden toys and other gifts. Also, there are items in the Country Store made by local craftsmen.

New for the 09 season, is the addition of our Bakery.

Breakfast
Saturday & Sunday 8-11 a.m.
Off-Season: breakfast only Saturday 8-11 a.m.

Family Style – $8.00 (includes tax)
Your choice of 2 meats (bacon, sausage, Clifty Farms country ham), eggs cooked to order, fried apples, gravy, biscuits, hash browns, and grits.
 
Breakfast Plate – $5.50 (includes tax)
Your choice of bacon, sausage, or Clifty Farms country ham, 2 eggs cooked to order, gravy, biscuits, and your choice of grits, fried apples, or hash browns.

Pancakes – $4.00 (includes tax)
Syrup and your choice of bacon, sausage, or Clifty Farms country ham.
 

Dinner
Friday: 4-8 p.m.     Saturday: 12-8 p.m.     Sunday:12-4 p.m.
 

Family Style – $14.00 (includes tax)
All you care to eat of the following: (choice of 2 meats) fried chicken, Clifty Farms country ham, Black Angus roast beef; mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green beans, soup beans, macaroni & cheese, fried apples, cole slaw, cooked cabbage, and cornbread salad; your choice of yellow cake with homemade caramel icing, fruit cobbler, banana pudding, or hot fudge cake.    Please no carryout on Family Style

Fish Fry the first Thursday of each month, year round, offering pan fried Alaskan white Pollock (grown in America); your choice of skin-on fries or baked potato; ham-seasoned soup beans; fresh slaw; cornbread muffin hush puppies; your choice of made-from-scratch desserts; all for $11.00 including tax.
